As what I have noticed most women here are using rubber gloves when they are doing house cleaning, washing and cooking. I don’t know if they are just protective with their skin or they are just very particular of being germs free.

You should know that the primary purpose of wearing rubber gloves  is for protection of the hands while performing tasks involving chemicals. Rubber gloves are worn during dishwashing to protect the hands from detergent and allow the use of hotter water.

The gym where we worked  out is on the third floor of a four-story building and few months ago there was a fire on the second floor, as what I have heard it started in the kitchen of one of the restaurants in the second floor.   Just too lucky that the fire was killed early before it destruct a lot of things.

Despite of no harm done, the gym was closed for three days because of bad odor from the chemical  that was used to kill the fire.  My husband says they used chemical instead of water because it is a restaurant and if they used water it will be hard to kill the fire as it can still be alive in water or the right term for it.

Anyway that’s why it is important that fire extinguishers must be always present in stores, restaurants and  establishments to avoid the fire to grow bigger, it can also save lives and properties.

Our apartment is still empty, we have no curtains and wall decors. Sometimes I want to buy stylish wall decors to make our wall more attractive but I don’t think our landlord will be happy if I tear off the wallpaper and change it with book and shelf wall sticker design. A shelf wall sticker design will be perfect to add as inspiration in the small corner of our apartment, where few of our books are kept.

When you don’t have many books or even a bookshelf at home, office or study room this design is  perfect, you don’t need to worry because the wall sticker is very easy to apply and comes in a secure poster tube. You can actually apply it in just a few minutes.

The three floor apartment we’re living at has  two garage space, one at the front and the other one in the left side.  It is just right because most of the families here in Korea has their own cars, two or more.   I think our landlord need a roof and garage door on the left side garage because when it is snowing the garage is full of frost, the other night I saw his son (if I am not mistaken) covering his car with cartoon boxes so the windshield will be snow free.

I believed installing roof and garage door will free the car from snow and the landlord in shoveling the pile of snow. It will also stop some of the school kids to play ball games when the cars are not around.  Like what happened one fine day  where I am busy in front of my computer when I heard some kids shouting and kicking a ball outside, I didn’t  mind them because I thought it is normal but when I went to the bathroom and turn on the light and ventilation I can hear them moving  away from the garage silently, it seems they thought nobody is around and they can play freely so when they hear someone is around they sneak out like thieves.

I believed interior designing is a talent and a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, liaising with the stakeholders of a project and the management and execution of the design. It is not easy as what other thinks, it requires a lot of planning, decision making and time management.

I have no talent in actual interior designing because as what I have said I am kind of packrat where everything is important to me, everything has value in short. So when ever we have new furniture at home I just display or put them in a place where I think they will look good, I don’t consider balancing anymore. As long as there’s space there’s a usage for it.

Well at least even though I  have no talent in actual interior designing I have a little talent in virtual interior designing, how do your like my living room (header)?

When I am still a kid fetching water in the pump is my everyday task. I have to make sure that all the plastic containers at home is full of water or else my mother will scold me. Time came a little progress  occurred in our community, using  water pump is  not on demand anymore. Fetching water became easier by the use of water system,  most houses has their own water pipes now but the water is not good for drinking just for washing, bathing and daily usage.

Not all families are covered by the water system because there are some houses which happened to be far from the main road where the pipes are running.  Some of this houses still uses water pump for their water supply and those people who happens living in the valley uses water well especially when they have vegetable garden to water everyday. Water well drilling is common when the supply of water is not abundant and you are living in urban area like us.

As we have no space/garden  to cultivate here in our apartment I have told  my husband about my idea and that is planting a plant into plant box which is a good idea if there’s no garage in front of our apartment building but the mere fact that  there’s a garage it is not a good idea at all. So there’s no way we can grow flowers or few vegetables in a plant box because without sunlight they will die.

Our last option to bring harmony and have green living things in our apartment is to buy and install window boxes in our balcony. There are some affordable  and custom made window boxes that last a lifetime, most of them are made from no rot cellular PVC called VERSATEX , that gives the planters a matte finish which scatters light rather than reflecting it and the end result is a planter that looks and feels like a wood rather than a plastic.

It  seems a good idea isn’t it? Well before we decide to have one we should ask permission to our landlord first especially he is keeping his bike and other cleaning tools at the the back side of the apartment.

Our bathroom at home is not fully furnished well what you expect when even our home is not yet fully constructed.  If we are given a chance to improve our bathroom I would like to buy bath tub and of course bath panels.  Like most other items there’s a large variety of bath panels and they ranged on sizes, shapes, color and material. There acrylic and reinforced panels and wooden panels with different colors like mahogany, limed oak, white and walnut.

If you are not familiar bath panels are the external casings that are placed around the side(s) of certain types of baths. In most cases these kinds of panels will be used around baths that are not designed to be free-standing. They are used predominantly to hide the plumbing around the bath tub itself and to make the bath and the bathroom look neater.

Moving is a situation that everyone doesn’t want to do. Moving house time to time is tiring, stressful and not the best idea to build an ideal home.  Once you plan to move you need to pack all of your important things which is so tiring and stressful to do and once you moved you need to start all over again to build relationship with your neighbors, make friends and etc.,

Our visa is going to expire soon but we are lucky that we are not going to move anywhere, my husband’s employer extended his contract for one more year. Well at least for a year we don’t need moving companies to help us move to a new home and community. I just hope next year his contract will be extended again because I already love this place and the people.

Before one of my Aunt build a small store in front of  our house we have a small flower garden in  our porch. We grew orchids in a drift wood and different kind of flowering plants in a pot. My mother also landscape it with the available resources around us like group of stones and soil. But since they build a small store most of the plants are affected and needs to be transferred or removed.

When my Aunt moved and they torn down their store we didn’t  return the plants anymore on their old place, we also didn’t improved the garden anymore. It remains empty as it is and it was not a bad move after all because after few years they built a new store which covered the empty space.

As what I have learned landscaping your garden makes dull areas  pleasing and it is possible to make ordinary homes into spectacular ones and office buildings into warm, livable spaces most of all beautiful landscaping increases the property value of your home.
